With reliability, performance and endurance in mind, Paddock Machinery has designed this tractor PTO post hole digger for demanding farm, acreage and construction applications. Designed for Category 1 three point linkage tractors with 540 RPM PTO output, this heavy duty auger drive makes fencing, tree planting and general post hole digging faster and easier. An optional hydraulic down-force ram is available to assist when working in dry, compacted and harder soils.

Important: The post hole digger is supplied without an auger. Augers are sold separately and can be selected to suit your application.

Post Hole Digger Applications & Tractor Suitability

The Paddock PTO post hole digger is designed for use with a wide range of Category 1 tractors, including popular brands such as Kubota, John Deere, Case, Iseki, Massey Ferguson and New Holland.

Featuring a 50 HP rated gearbox, the implement is recommended for Category 1 three point linkage tractors in the 25-40 HP range. It is an ideal tractor attachment for fencing, digging post holes, tree planting, decking, landscaping and general farm or construction work.

Optional Hydraulic Down-Force Assist

The post hole digger is available with or without hydraulic down-force assist. The optional hydraulic ram allows additional downward force to be applied to the auger, helping it penetrate dry, hard or compacted ground where the weight of a conventional post hole digger may not be sufficient.

To use the hydraulic down-force and retraction functions, the tractor requires suitable double-acting hydraulic remotes. Hydraulic hoses are included with the hydraulic assist setup.

Heavy Duty Post Hole Digger Construction

Tractor PTO implements need to withstand significant loads, particularly when working in hard or uneven ground. Paddock has reinforced the areas of the post hole digger that experience the greatest operating stresses, including the boom, frame and gearbox mounting points.

The heavy duty gearbox is oil filled and uses tapered bearings, while hardened steel components are used throughout critical linkage areas. Protective covers help shield the PTO shaft and joints during operation.

The included PTO shaft incorporates protection designed to help protect the implement and gearbox if the auger encounters excessive resistance. A safety clutch is included as standard.

Post Hole Digger Specifications

Note: The gearbox is stored and transported with only enough oil to keep internal components lubricated. Additional gearbox oil must be added to the correct level before operation. Refer to the operating instructions before first use.
