Description

The Paddock™ Septic Tank Cutter Grinder Pump range is designed for demanding sewage, wastewater and septic applications where fibrous material and suspended solids can cause conventional pumps to clog. A heavy-duty vortex impeller combined with an integrated cutting ring helps process challenging waste while maintaining reliable flow.

Available in single-phase and 3-phase models, with manual and automatic float-switch options, the range covers domestic septic systems through to larger commercial wastewater applications. Heavy cast-iron construction, thermal motor protection and serviceable components make these pumps well suited to permanent submerged installations.

Paddock™ Submersible Septic Tank Cutter Grinder Pumps

Heavy-Duty Sewage & Wastewater Pumping

The Paddock™ sewage pump range is designed for applications where wastewater contains fibrous material, suspended solids and other debris that can cause conventional pumps to block.

A combination of vortex flow and a cutting ring helps reduce clogging and allows the pump to handle demanding septic and wastewater applications more effectively.

Vortex Non-Clog Impeller

The pump uses an open vortex-style impeller which creates flow through the pump chamber while reducing direct contact between larger solids and the impeller itself.

This design is particularly useful in sewage and wastewater applications where stringy or fibrous material may be present.

The impeller is manufactured from a hard-chromium alloy steel for improved wear resistance in abrasive operating conditions.

Integrated Cutting Ring

An integrated cutting ring works with the pump's hydraulic design to help break down fibrous waste before discharge.

This makes the range well suited to septic tanks, sewage pits and other wastewater systems where clog resistance is important.

Manual & Automatic Models

Single-phase models are available in both manual and automatic configurations.

  • Manual models: pump operation is controlled externally.
  • Automatic models: supplied with a float switch to start and stop the pump according to liquid level.

Automatic versions can be particularly useful when replacing an existing domestic septic or wastewater pump that requires level-controlled operation.

Single-Phase & 3-Phase Options

The range includes both single-phase and 3-phase pumps, allowing selection to suit different site power supplies and pumping requirements.

Models range from 0.75kW through to 7.5kW, with increasing head and flow capability for larger systems.

Heavy-Duty Cast-Iron Construction

The pump body is constructed from heavy-duty cast iron for strength and durability in permanently submerged wastewater environments.

Quality mechanical seals help protect the motor from liquid ingress, while the cable entry incorporates an anti-wicking design to reduce the risk of moisture travelling along the power cable into the motor housing.

Thermal Motor Protection

Integrated thermal protection helps protect the electric motor from overheating under abnormal operating conditions.

Correct pump selection remains important, particularly where high head, restricted discharge lines or frequent starts may place additional load on the motor.

Ideal Applications

  • Septic tanks
  • Sewage pits
  • Wastewater transfer
  • Domestic septic systems
  • Commercial wastewater systems
  • Drainage pits containing solids
  • Effluent transfer
  • Farm and agricultural wastewater applications

Choosing the Right Pump

Select the pump based on both the required flow rate and total discharge head. Maximum flow and maximum head occur at different points on the pump curve and should not be expected simultaneously.

Also consider discharge pipe diameter, pipe length, elevation, fittings, solids content and whether automatic level control is required.

Installation Considerations

These pumps are designed for submerged wastewater applications. Correct installation should provide adequate clearance around the pump inlet and allow unrestricted movement of the float switch on automatic models.

For permanent septic or sewage installations, ensure electrical connections, control equipment and protection devices comply with applicable electrical and wastewater requirements.

Important: Pump performance depends on the complete system. Maximum head and maximum flow are not achieved simultaneously. Confirm the required duty point, discharge pipe sizing and solids characteristics before selecting a model. Electrical installation of fixed pumps should be completed by a suitably qualified person.

Looks the goods

Fitted into a clients makeshift septic tank replacing another brand that wasn't fulluy suited to the application. I found this Paddock pump as a better replacement option. Looked like it was a good product, Insalled it about 3 weeks ago & the customer hasn't called back, so it's getting the job done. Hopefully it last a long time in there. Will be my go to pump for this typoe of job.

Its the best pump I have ever bought, I did an out of tank test, in a 200 litr barrel, it was empty within seconds,, I have not come across a 240volt pump like this before, I have other applications I can use this pump on, I wish I had seen this year's ago.
