Description
Paddock™ Tractor PTO Generators provide a practical source of 240V single-phase and 415V three-phase power using the PTO of your existing tractor. Available in 15kW, 30kW and 75kW models, these heavy-duty generators are ideal for farms, workshops, remote properties and emergency backup power applications.
Mounted on a heavy-duty steel frame with three-point linkage, each generator incorporates a speed multiplier gearbox, Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), digital voltage and frequency monitoring and multiple power outlets. Simply connect the generator to a compatible tractor PTO to produce power without maintaining another dedicated petrol or diesel engine.

Generate Power from Your Tractor PTO
A PTO generator is an excellent option for farms and properties where a suitable tractor is already available. Rather than purchasing and maintaining another engine-driven generator, the Paddock PTO Generator converts the mechanical power from your tractor's PTO into usable electrical power.
This makes the generator particularly useful for equipment that may spend extended periods in storage between uses. There is no additional petrol or diesel engine with a separate fuel system, starter battery and servicing requirements to maintain.
The three-point linkage design also allows the generator to be transported using the tractor, making it easy to relocate between paddocks, sheds, workshops and other work areas.
PTO Generator Applications
These generators are suited to a wide range of agricultural, commercial and property maintenance applications, including:
- Remote farm and paddock power
- Powering electric tools and equipment
- Running compatible welders
- Electric water pumps
- Remote lighting
- Workshop equipment
- Temporary pumping operations
- Farm and property backup power
- Commercial emergency power applications
For jobs such as fence construction or repairs in remote paddocks, the PTO generator allows suitable welders, drills and other electrical equipment to be operated without transporting a separate engine-driven generator to the work area.
Single-Phase & Three-Phase Power
The Paddock PTO Generator range provides both 415V three-phase and 240V single-phase outlets, giving operators flexibility to run a variety of compatible equipment.
Important: These units use a three-phase generator and are primarily designed for three-phase loads. Individual phases are also connected to 240V single-phase outlets. The single-phase outlets are protected by 16A circuit breakers, meaning the generator's full rated output cannot be supplied through a single 240V outlet.
This is particularly important when selecting a generator for larger single-phase equipment such as welders. Some welders can draw high current when initially striking an arc and may trip the 16A outlet circuit breaker. Always check the electrical requirements and data plate of the equipment you intend to operate before selecting a generator.
Automatic Voltage Regulation & Monitoring
Each model incorporates an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) to regulate generator output. A digital voltage and frequency meter allows the operator to monitor generator performance during operation.
Resettable circuit breakers provide overload protection for the generator outlets, helping protect the generator and connected equipment if an outlet is overloaded.
Heavy-Duty Generator Construction
Paddock PTO Generators are designed for demanding agricultural and commercial environments. The generator and gearbox are mounted to a heavy-duty painted steel frame designed for connection to the tractor's three-point linkage.
The speed multiplier gearbox converts the tractor PTO input speed to the operating speed required by the generator. Cast steel gearbox housings, hardened steel shafts, robust gearing and quality bearings are used to provide a long operating life under demanding conditions.
The generator incorporates high-grade copper windings and enclosed electrical components. The 30kW and 75kW models feature brushless generator designs, reducing the number of wear components requiring maintenance.
Tractor Compatibility
Correct generator selection depends on both the available tractor horsepower and PTO configuration.
- 15kW model: 25hp+ tractor, 540 RPM PTO, Category I three-point linkage
- 30kW model: 50hp+ tractor, 540 RPM PTO, Category I three-point linkage
- 75kW model: 125hp+ tractor, 1000 RPM PTO, Category II/III three-point linkage
Always confirm that your tractor has sufficient available PTO power and the correct PTO speed and linkage configuration for the selected generator.

Pre-Operation Notes
Gearbox oil must be added before operation. The generator is transported with insufficient gearbox oil for normal operation. Refer to the operating instructions and fill with the specified SAE90 gearbox oil before first use.
Some minor assembly is required after delivery to reduce the unit's shipping and storage dimensions.
Electrical equipment should only be connected and operated within the generator's specified voltage, phase, outlet and current ratings. Confirm the electrical requirements of connected equipment before use.
