Description
The Paddock™ Tractor PTO Rotary Tillers are heavy-duty cultivation implements designed for soil preparation, seedbed development and incorporating fertilisers or organic material. Available in 1350mm and 2100mm working widths, the range suits tractors from approximately 12HP through to 80HP.
Both models operate from a standard 540 RPM PTO and are supplied with a 1-3/8" 6-spline PTO shaft. The smaller SPTILL135 suits Category I tractors, while the larger SPTILL210 can be configured for Category I or II tractors.
Paddock™ Tractor PTO Rotary Cultivators & Tillers
Rotary tillers use the tractor's PTO to drive a series of rotating tines through the soil. This breaks up and turns the ground, helping prepare areas for planting, cultivation and soil improvement work.
Typical uses include:
- Seedbed preparation
- Breaking and cultivating soil
- Incorporating fertilisers and soil amendments
- Mixing organic material into soil
- Preparing garden and cropping areas
- Vineyard and orchard maintenance
- General farm and acreage cultivation

SPTILL135 – 1350mm Rotary Tiller
The SPTILL135 is designed for smaller Category I tractors in the approximately 12–28HP range.
This model has a 1350mm working width and uses a cast iron gearbox with chain transmission to drive 28 tilling tines.
Maximum stated tilling depth is approximately 107mm. An adjustable rear flap helps control soil discharge and can assist in producing a more even finish behind the implement.
The SPTILL135 is well suited to smaller farms, acreage properties, gardens and general soil preparation where a more compact PTO tiller is preferred.
SPTILL210 – 2100mm Heavy-Duty Rotary Tiller
The larger SPTILL210 is designed for tractors in the approximately 45–80HP range and can be configured for Category I or Category II linkage.
With a 2100mm working width, 48 tilling tines and a maximum stated tilling depth of approximately 132mm, this model is suited to larger cultivation areas and heavier-duty applications.
The SPTILL210 uses a cast iron gearbox with gear transmission rather than chain transmission. Adjustable skids are used to set the working depth, while the rear flap helps manage soil flow and finish.
Adjustable Tilling Depth
Both models allow the tilling depth to be adjusted to suit the soil conditions and intended application.
Maximum stated tilling depths are:
- SPTILL135: 107mm
- SPTILL210: 132mm
Actual working depth will vary depending on soil type, moisture, tractor setup, travel speed and operating conditions.
540 RPM PTO Drive
Both rotary tillers are designed to operate from a standard 540 RPM tractor PTO.
Each implement is supplied with a 1-3/8" 6-spline PTO shaft. Before operation, confirm the PTO shaft length and guarding are correctly set for the tractor and implement combination.

Choosing the Correct Rotary Tiller
The main differences between the two models are tractor power requirement, working width, tilling depth and drive system.
Choose the SPTILL135 for smaller Category I tractors and areas where a compact 1350mm working width is preferred.
Choose the SPTILL210 for larger tractors, wider cultivation passes and heavier-duty work.
Always confirm your tractor's PTO rating, three-point linkage category and lifting capacity before selecting an implement.
Operation & Setup
Before use, inspect the PTO shaft, guards, tines, gearbox and mounting points. Ensure the implement is correctly attached to the tractor and the PTO shaft is the correct working length.
Operate at a suitable ground speed for the soil conditions and avoid engaging the tiller in areas containing large rocks, buried debris or other objects that may damage the tines or drive system.
