Mowing Around Trees, Fence Posts & Solar Panels
Paddock™ has designed this swing-arm mower to make cutting around tree trunks, fence posts, vines, solar panel supports and other obstacles easier while reducing the risk of contact with the main mower deck.
The swing arm incorporates a rubber contact wheel which deflects the arm and cutting blade when it encounters an obstacle. Once the mower passes the obstacle, the spring-loaded mechanism automatically returns the swing arm to its normal cutting position.
This design allows the mower to cut close to posts and trees and reach beneath fence lines while the operator remains on the tractor.
PTO Mower Compatibility & Hydraulic Side Shift
This implement is designed for tractors operating at a 540 RPM PTO speed. It is ideally suited to tractors in the 25-50 HP range and uses a Category I three point linkage with Cat I pins supplied.
To utilise the hydraulic side shift function, the tractor requires suitable rear hydraulic connections. Side shifting allows the mower to operate further to the side of the tractor, helping the operator mow closer to fence lines, trees and other obstacles without positioning the tractor in difficult locations.
The hydraulic side shift does not need to be connected for the mower to operate and can be left disconnected where this function is not required.
Finishing Mower Cut Quality
Finishing mowers are designed to provide a neat, consistent cut using multiple horizontal blades rotating at high speed. Compared with a conventional slasher, a finishing mower is better suited to areas where a tidier lawn-style finish is desired.
This makes the mower suitable for orchards, vineyards, acreages, maintained paddocks, public areas and other applications where both mowing performance and presentation are important.
Being PTO driven allows the mower to utilise the tractor's engine power for efficient cutting across larger areas.
