Description
The Paddock™ hydraulic ute crane is a heavy-duty vehicle-mounted lifting solution designed to assist with loading and unloading machinery, equipment and other heavy items. Featuring a manually operated hydraulic ram, four-position extendable boom and 360° swivel, the crane provides a maximum rated lifting capacity of 900kg at its shortest boom position.
Paddock™ 900kg Hydraulic Ute Crane
Designed for installation to a suitably reinforced ute tray, service vehicle, trailer or similar structure, this compact hydraulic crane provides a practical solution for handling heavy equipment in workshops, farms, construction sites and field service applications.
The four-position telescopic boom provides a choice of reach and lifting capacity. Maximum rated capacity is 900kg at the shortest boom position, reducing progressively to 300kg when fully extended.
Ute Crane Features
- Maximum rated lifting capacity of 900kg
- Four boom positions rated at 900kg, 700kg, 500kg and 300kg
- Extendable boom provides approximately 930–1295mm reach
- 360° swivel for positioning loads
- Heavy-duty fully welded steel construction
- Powder-coated finish
- Manual hydraulic operation
- 3000kg-rated long-reach hydraulic ram
- Safety chain and lifting hook included
- Compact design for vehicle and workshop applications
- 12 month warranty
Four-Position Extendable Boom
The telescopic boom incorporates four extension positions, allowing the crane to be configured for different combinations of lifting capacity and reach.
| Boom Position | Maximum Rated Capacity |
|---|---|
| Position 1 – Shortest Reach | 900kg |
| Position 2 | 700kg |
| Position 3 | 500kg |
| Position 4 – Longest Reach | 300kg |
Important: The 900kg rating applies only with the boom in its shortest position. Extending the boom increases the lifting radius and reduces the maximum permitted load. Always observe the capacity applicable to the selected boom position.
Hydraulic Lifting
A manually operated long-reach hydraulic ram raises and lowers the boom, allowing loads to be lifted without requiring an electrical or hydraulic connection to the vehicle.
The hydraulic ram itself has a stated 3000kg rating; however, this does not increase the rated lifting capacity of the complete crane. The crane's maximum load remains determined by the selected boom position, with a maximum of 900kg.
360° Swivel
The crane can rotate through 360° to assist with positioning a load between the ground and vehicle tray. The swivel assembly operates on bearings to provide controlled rotation around the crane base.
Loads should remain controlled during lifting and positioning, particularly when operating on uneven ground or when the boom is extended.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The crane features a fully welded steel structure with a powder-coated finish for durability in workshop, agricultural and field environments. A lifting hook and safety chain are supplied with the crane.

Installation Requirements
This crane must be mounted to a structure capable of safely supporting the crane and the loads being lifted. A standard ute or trailer floor may not provide adequate structural support without reinforcement.
Professional installation is recommended, including assessment and reinforcement of the mounting area where required. The mounting structure, fasteners and supporting vehicle or trailer must be suitable for the forces generated by the crane at its maximum rated load and lifting radius.
The supporting vehicle or trailer must also be stable during lifting. Consider load position, vehicle suspension and stability before commencing a lift.
Safe Operation
Never exceed the rated capacity for the selected boom position. Loads should be properly secured to the lifting hook, kept under control and never suspended over people.
The crane must be appropriately secured for transport and must not be left free to rotate while the vehicle or trailer is underway. Follow the supplied operating and installation instructions before use.
