Paddock™ Core Drill Water Slurry Rings – 150mm & 200mm

Description

The Paddock™ Core Drill Water Slurry Rings help contain and extract water and slurry produced during wet concrete core drilling. Connected to a suitable wet vacuum, the ring captures slurry around the core bit to help keep the work area cleaner and make slurry management easier.

Available in 150mm and 200mm sizes, each ring features a trimmable rubber top seal that can be customised to suit the diameter of the core drill bit.

Paddock™ Core Drill Water Slurry Rings

Wet core drilling uses water to cool the diamond core bit and control dust, producing a mixture of water and drilling slurry around the hole. A slurry ring provides a convenient way to contain this material and extract it with a compatible wet vacuum.

The Paddock slurry rings are suitable for use on compatible flat drilling surfaces including concrete, masonry, stone and asphalt.

Trimmable Core Bit Seal

Each slurry ring incorporates a rubber top cover that can be trimmed to suit the core bit being used.

Select a slurry ring larger than the core bit diameter and carefully trim the rubber opening to provide clearance around the bit while maintaining effective slurry containment.

Wet Vacuum Connection

The slurry ring connects to a suitable industrial wet vacuum to extract water and slurry as drilling progresses.

The vacuum connection measures:

• 40mm outside diameter
• 28mm inside diameter

Confirm compatibility with the vacuum hose or adaptor before use.

Replaceable Vacuum Seal

The slurry rings incorporate a replaceable vacuum seal. This allows the sealing component to be renewed as it wears, helping maintain effective contact between the slurry ring and the work surface.

Overhead Core Drilling

Slurry containment can be particularly useful when wet core drilling overhead, where uncontrolled drilling water and slurry would otherwise fall into the surrounding work area.

When working overhead, ensure the slurry ring and extraction system are securely installed and suitable for the drilling orientation. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and ensure electrical equipment is protected from water and slurry.

Important

Select a slurry ring larger than the core bit being used and trim the rubber top seal to suit. Confirm the wet vacuum has suitable capacity for the water and slurry being collected.
