The Sherpa 4x4 Snorkel Kit is designed specifically for compatible Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X vehicles fitted with the 3.0L 4JJ1-TC diesel engine. The raised air intake helps reduce exposure to dust and water encountered around the vehicle's standard intake position during off-road driving.
Manufactured from UV-resistant Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), the kit includes the snorkel body, Sherpa air ram head, stainless steel clamps, mounting hardware and fitting template required for installation.

Sherpa Air Ram Head
The Sherpa air ram uses a two-piece injection-moulded construction with a four-vane drainage system designed to help manage water entering the air ram.
A laser-cut 316 stainless steel grille protects the front of the intake, while the air ram is secured to the snorkel body using a 316 stainless steel screw clamp.
The clamp arrangement allows the air ram to be rotated when required. This can be useful in conditions where a forward-facing intake may be exposed to significant dust, sand, mud, snow or other airborne material.
LLDPE Snorkel Construction
The main snorkel body is manufactured from Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and modified for high UV and puncture resistance, making it suitable for demanding off-road and outdoor environments.
The snorkel is moulded specifically for the compatible vehicle applications listed above rather than being a universal-fit snorkel.
Why Fit a Raised Air Intake?
A snorkel relocates the engine's air intake from its standard position to a higher point on the vehicle. This can help reduce the intake's exposure to dust and water encountered around the original intake location during off-road use.
A snorkel should not be considered a guarantee that a vehicle is safe for deep-water crossings. The complete intake system and other vehicle components must be appropriately prepared and sealed for the conditions encountered.
Installation
The kit includes a fitting template and installation hardware. Installation requires modification of the vehicle bodywork and correct sealing of the intake system.
