Description
The Junior Walking Irrigator is an Australian-made, mechanically driven travelling irrigator designed for small acreage, large lawns, horticulture and open-field irrigation. Featuring a 3.2m boom, 100m cable run and four travel speeds, it provides a simple and reliable way to irrigate areas of approximately 1–5 acres.
With no gearbox, hydraulics or water winch, the Junior uses a simple mechanical drive system designed for straightforward operation and maintenance. An automatic travel stop is included, while an optional automatic water shutoff valve is available for greater convenience at the end of each run.

Junior Walking Irrigator – 3.2m Boom
Designed and manufactured in Australia, the Junior Walking Irrigator provides travelling irrigation for smaller acreage applications where a full-size irrigator is not required.
The unit travels along a pre-set 100m cable while its 3.2m boom distributes water across the surrounding area. Depending on nozzle selection, water pressure and flow, the irrigator can provide a wetted width of up to 24m and cover up to approximately 0.59 acres per 100m run.

Simple Mechanical Operation
The Junior Irrigator operates using a simple mechanical travelling system without a gearbox, hydraulic drive or water winch. This reduces complexity and helps make the irrigator straightforward to operate and maintain.
Four travel speeds allow the application rate to be adjusted to suit different watering requirements, while the supplied nozzle washers provide additional control over flow and coverage.
Automatic Travel Stop
An automatic travel stop is included as standard. When the irrigator reaches the end of its cable run, the travelling mechanism stops automatically.
An optional automatic shutoff valve can also be fitted to stop the water supply when the irrigator reaches the end of the run. Note that this valve shuts off water to the irrigator only; a separate control is required if the water pump itself also needs to be switched off automatically.
Optional Irrigator Accessories
Layflat Hose with Camlocks: 50m of 32mm heavy-duty ribbed layflat hose supplied with aluminium camlocks and clamps, including 1 x 'C' camlock and 1 x 'A' camlock. Multiple lengths can be joined where additional hose is required.
Automatic Shutoff Valve: Shuts off the water supply to the irrigator when it reaches the end of the wire rope. A separate pump control is required if automatic pump shutdown is also required.

Performance Chart
The irrigator is supplied with washers to provide three different nozzle diameters. Actual flow, wetted width and application rate will vary according to nozzle selection, water pressure and operating conditions.

Irrigator Hose Layout
Hose: Heavy-duty, abrasion-resistant ribbed layflat hose is recommended for use with the walking irrigator. Layflat hose is generally easier to manage in this application than rigid poly pipe and can be moved using a suitable skid to help prevent tangling and damage.
Water Supply: Where practical, positioning the water supply hydrant near the middle of the irrigator run can simplify hose layout and movement.
