Description
The Scintex cattle and livestock immobiliser provides a compact and practical method of restraining cattle during a range of farming and veterinary procedures. How the Cattle Immobiliser Works
The immobiliser is designed for use with cattle including cows, steers, calves and bulls. A rectal probe is used to deliver a controlled electrical current that causes temporary muscle contraction and assists in restricting movement while a procedure is being performed.
The unit provides an additional method of animal restraint and can be used in conjunction with appropriate livestock handling equipment and procedures.
Adjustable Operation
The immobilisation level is adjusted using the control knob on the outside of the unit, allowing the operator to select an appropriate setting for the animal being restrained.
The probe is inserted with the immobiliser switched off. The setting can then be progressively adjusted as required. Operators should follow the supplied instructions and appropriate animal handling procedures whenever using the immobiliser.

Note: With particularly large or difficult cattle, complete immobilisation may not always be achieved. Appropriate physical restraint and safe livestock handling practices should still be used.
