Description

The Paddock Tow Behind Seed & Fertiliser Spreader is a heavy-duty broadcast spreader designed for lawns, acreage, farms and general property maintenance. With a large 80kg hopper capacity, adjustable flow control and a spread width of more than 4 metres, it provides a fast and efficient way to distribute seed, fertiliser and other suitable granular materials.

Ground-driven operation means no PTO, engine or electrical connection is required. Simply connect the spreader to a ride-on mower, quad bike, ATV, tractor or other suitable tow vehicle and start spreading.

Broadcast Spreading for Lawns, Farms & Acreage

The Paddock broadcast spreader is suitable for a wide range of property maintenance and agricultural applications. It can be used to distribute compatible free-flowing granular products including:

• Grass seed
• Granular fertiliser
• Lime
• Gypsum
• Suitable dry sand
• Other compatible granular soil treatments

It is well suited to lawns, paddocks, acreages, golf courses, farms and landscaped areas where larger areas need to be treated efficiently.

Adjustable Broadcast Flow

The spreading rate is controlled using the adjustment handle connected to the slide at the base of the hopper. This allows the operator to increase or reduce the amount of material being released to suit different products and application rates.

Depending on the material, tow speed and flow setting, a broadcast width of more than 4 metres can be achieved.

For best results, calibrate the spreader with the selected material before treating the full area.

Simple Ground-Driven Operation

The spreader requires no engine, PTO, battery or electrical connection. As the unit is towed, rotation of the wheels drives the axle and broadcast paddle through the mechanical gear system.

This simple drive system keeps maintenance requirements low while providing reliable spreading performance.

Heavy-Duty Construction

The Paddock spreader is designed for regular use in outdoor conditions. The hopper is manufactured from UV-stabilised polyethylene to resist weathering and corrosion, while the frame uses 35mm tubular steel with a black powder-coated finish.

A rigid steel axle and heavy-duty mechanical drive components provide strength under load. Nylock fasteners are used throughout the frame to help resist loosening from vibration during operation.

Large Pneumatic Tyres

The spreader is fitted with large 15" diameter x 6" wide pneumatic tyres. The wider footprint helps the unit travel more smoothly over uneven ground and reduces the tendency for the wheels to drop into ruts and holes.

Clevis Hitch Connection

The spreader uses a standard clevis hitch with pin and is mounted on an adjustable-length drawbar. This allows it to be matched to a variety of tow vehicles including:

• Quad bikes
• ATVs
• Ride-on mowers
• Tractors
• Utilities
• Other suitable small tow vehicles

If a tow ball connection is preferred, the clevis arrangement can be adapted using a suitable tow ball tongue or mounting solution.

Assembly

The spreader is supplied partially assembled. Allow approximately 30 minutes for final assembly before use.

Important: Coverage and spread width will vary depending on the material type, granule size, flow setting and tow speed. Always test and calibrate the spreader before treating the full area.
