Built for serious recovery, Sherpa 4x4 winches deliver dependable performance when it matters most. Designed to handle everything from recreational 4WD use through to competition and heavy-duty applications, the range covers multiple load capacities to suit different setups.

A standout in the lineup is the 17,000lb winch—well suited to touring vehicles and caravans, making it a popular choice for long-distance travel across Australia. For larger vehicles and commercial applications, high-output options are available, including a powerful 12.6HP dual motor configuration engineered for heavy vehicle recovery.

Scintex supplies the full Sherpa 4x4 range, including both 12V and 24V electric models, with rope and cable options available. Each unit is built for durability and consistent operation in demanding conditions, providing a reliable solution for towing and recovery requirements.

A common guideline is selecting a winch rated at around 1.5 times the vehicle's gross weight, while also considering accessories and expected recovery conditions.
Synthetic rope is lighter and easier to handle, while steel cable offers excellent abrasion resistance. The best choice depends on your recovery environment and maintenance preferences.
Yes. The mounting system must be designed to safely handle recovery loads. Always use a compatible mounting solution recommended for the winch and vehicle.
Regularly inspect the rope, hook, electrical connections and mounting bolts, and operate the winch periodically to keep internal components lubricated.
Many recoveries are safer and more controlled using accessories such as tree trunk protectors, snatch blocks and rated shackles. Assess each recovery individually.

High Flow Gear Oil Pump
Great pump . Indestructible

Highly recommended .We have a few of these as we are a oil manufacturer . These pumps are very good and reliable. I have had nuts , bolts and rocks go through them and they keep on working as the viens and gears are all steel . No plastic that can shatter .Only had to replace a mechanical seal on them once which I was able to get from Scintex . Takes about 7 minutes to transfer 200 liters of gear oil through a 25 mm hose .
