Scintex is a pump and filtration specialist, with in-house engineers we can supply a pumping system suitable for you application. Our range varies from small 12V & 24V electric pumps to large 240V & 3 Phase pumps as well as hand drum pumps and pneumatic air pumps. Quickly and easily transfer fuels, diesel, oil, biodiesel, water and unleaded petrol. We also provide pumping solutions for the biofuel industry with biodiesel pumps and units for use in SVO conversions. Further to the automotive industry we supply intercooler and turbo oil scavenge pumps.

The Scintex range of 12V & 24V pumps include an electric DC oil pump with a flow rate of 10L/ Min. The solar submersible well bore pump with 12L/ min flow rate. The collection also includes various diesel transfer pumps ranging in flow rates from 40L/ Min to 57L/ Min with full kits available that include nozzles, hosing, fittings and inlet strainers. We also stock petrol pump kits, petrol & diesel pump stations, drum pumps, diesel refueling stations, lubricant gear pumps, water pumps, sewage pumps, Exa pumps, centrifugal pumps and bilge pumps for marine use.

Our 240V range includes high flow dirty water pumps, stainless steel submersible centrifugal pumps with a flow rate of 95L/ Min, industrial site drainage submersible pumps, diesel transfer pumps, gear oil pumps, septic tank submersible pumps, sand and slurry submersible pumps, puddle suckers and dewatering pumps. Additionally we stock water pressure booster pumps with controllers, self priming shallow well jet pumps and stainless steel magnetic drive pumps. The 240V range has it all with machine cooling water pumps, condensate pumps, electric drive gear pumps, chemical dosing and metering pumps and even home water pressure pumps.

We have a range of pneumatic pumps including a polypropylene air driven diaphragm pump with a 90L/ min flow rate used for a variety of liquids. The aluminium air diaphragm pump is also available in an industrial sized model with a flow rate of up to 719L/ min. We also stock a mobile oil pump trolley kit and pneumatic lubricant pump.

The most popular pumps in our range are the engine driven pumps with our flex drive submersible trash pump (see the below video), the diesel engine driven water pump, the high pressure water pump, the trash sludge sewage pump, the YANMAR diesel water pump, the water transfer pump and the poly chemical transfer pump. This range is available in Honda petrol engines or in diesel with YANMAR or KAMA powered engines.

We also stock a range of tractor PTO driven pumps with the standard tractor PTO pump, the tractor PTO molasses oil pump and a pulley drive gear pump perfect for various applications including transfer of viscous liquids.

Start with the liquid being moved, required flow, total head, suction conditions, power source and expected duty cycle. Then consider solids size, viscosity, temperature and chemical compatibility. Different pump designs suit clean water, sewage, chemicals, fuel, slurry and high-pressure work, so select by the full application rather than port size alone.
Total head is the resistance the pump must overcome, including vertical lift and friction losses through hose, pipe, valves and fittings. A pump’s maximum head occurs at little or no flow, so it does not indicate normal delivery. Use the pump curve to confirm the expected flow at the actual system head.
A self-priming surface pump can evacuate some air from its suction line once the casing is correctly primed, but still has limits on suction lift and air leakage. A submersible pump operates in the liquid and pushes it upward, which avoids suction-lift problems. Each type has different electrical, cooling and installation requirements.
Many pumps rely on the pumped liquid to cool and lubricate seals, impellers or internal components. Dry running can quickly overheat and damage these parts, even if the motor continues operating. Use suitable dry-run protection where available and stop the pump immediately if flow is lost or the suction source empties.
Keep strainers and inlets clean, inspect hoses, seals and fittings for leaks and check oil, bearings and electrical connections as applicable. Prevent freezing, flush corrosive or dirty fluids after use and operate within the rated flow, pressure and duty cycle. Investigate unusual noise, vibration, heat or declining performance before a major failure occurs.
